While my wife, Anne, sang and played the accordion, I had recited some of the poems of WF Marshall, and then re-appeared dressed as the 1930s film star, Carmen Miranda."
Visitors to the North West region will be now able to enjoy interpretation at 8 sites rich in the Ulster Scots tradition. 3 of these sites are located within Strabane District – at Bready’s Sollus Centre, Dunamanagh (Recreation & Play Area) and at Patrick Street Graveyard, Strabane. Other sites covered include Prehen House, and Sixmilecross where WF Marshall “the Bard of Tyrone” was buried.
