Oren Shai, Jocelin Donahue and Izabella Miko stopped by the DailyMotion Lounge at to tell us all about The Frontier and the influences on their latest film, from the music to the costumes. Donahue describes her character as "the most evil" she's ever played, and together they share an awful lot about the production of their movie.
It's pulp. That's probably the best way to describe The Frontier, a brand new 1970s throwback crime thriller, directed by Oren Shai and starring Jocelin Donahue (The House of the Devil) and Izabella Miko (Step Up All In). But how do you make a proper pulp 1970s crime movie in the modern day, and how do you keep it authentic?
Jocelin Donahue: Exactly. There was the goal, the scenario, the set-up and what had to happen in the end – him saying, "I have a kid," and me saying, "I'm outta here." That was it.
